BabyPok 6th Scan (17th Week)

Hi BabyPok,

Daddy and Mummy went to doctor Tan for your routine check up and scan. We have been discussing about the outcome of this scan for many days..will you be a boy or girl? Even as we make our way there this morning, our hearts were beating with anticipantion. Mummy showed me a list of things that we can start buying when we know your gender. What colour would you like to have for your cot, your room, you blanky and your pillow?

When you finally came on the screen this morning, my heart almost froze...you have grown so much darling...We saw your well-grown spine, hands, legs and head there was even skin and fats forming on your limbs. You weight about 200 grams now. Did you know that daddy and mummy were looking at you or were you as excited as us? Through out the scan you were jumping, stretching and moving around mummy's womb. You look liked a really happy baby!

We tried to "spot" your gender but you were not in the "right" position for us to see... Doctor Tan had to get you to face us by pressing mummy's womb many times. and for a split second we saw something little"bulging" out...hee hee. Welcome to our world BabyPok. We are thinking of your name now. Marcus? Josiah? Joshua? ...Which one do you like?

Mummy says that I can bring you for swimming when you are ready to learn but I guessed you are now already swimming like a CHAMPION in mummy's womb. 加油宝宝，你会是个可爱，聪明的宝宝！！

Hi BabyPok, Daddy and Mummy have been thinking of you so much these few days. Today, we visited the medical center that Mummy will be staying when she deliver you. We were introduced to the different wards, facilities and our imagination went "wild" when we had a glimpse of the baby ward. I was thinking of you lying on the soft small bed, cuddling in the soft white towel. The medical center is filled with "LIFE".We saw many new parents with us on the tour today. Daddy also saw a few mummies discharging from the center with their newborn in their arms. I can't wait to have you in my arms. Mummy told me it's still 5 more months to go but daddy is already counting down every single day to your arrival.

I was asking myself what would I want to see my child be when you grow up. I think my answer is that you will be a happy person and someone God will mightily use, most importantly obedience to His calling. Daddy didn't do well in my studies when I was young, lost many opportunities and failed a number of times. If God can lift me up again and again, leads me into my calling and serve Him, I can't imagine what He can do with a family who is dedicated to love Him.

Can you listen to the songs that is played on your blog? This will be the first song that I will teach you when you learn how to sing. It goes.. "Yes Jesus loves me, for the bible tells me so..."

BabyPok 5th Scan (13th Week)

Dear BabyPok,

It feels so good to see you growing each time mummy goes for her appointment. This time when you appeared on the screen, we saw you leaping and jumping!! Are you very excited to see us too? Your limbs were so defined and we saw your little fingers...you actually waved at us a few times. Doctor Tan tried to figure out your gender by doing a side scan but you crossed your legs. Not the time to reveal your gender to us right!? It was really funny, Doctor Tan tried to make you "bounce" a few times by pressing mummy's womb but you simply refuse to open up your legs..Whether you are boy or girl, Daddy loves you the same!

Mummy has been vomiting and feeling nausea a few times this week. Hopefully, the morning sickness will go away soon. Mummy is at the 2nd trimester of the pregnancy now..please make mummy comfy for the remaining weeks k? Cant wait to see you 4 weeks later, by then we should be able to see your gender. Do grow well and strong. Daddy and Mummy will be praying for you everyday.

BabyPok 4th Scan (11th Week)

Dear BabyPok,

Daddy and Mummy went to see Dr Tan for your progress today! Daddy was really anxious to see how much you have grown since our last visit. The journey to the clinic seems so long. I have been reading about the progress of a fetus and can't wait to see you again on the screen.

God is so good to us! When you appear on the screen, I saw you "waving" at us! You were also kicking away.. I guess you are as excited as us! We saw your limbs for the very first time. Those tiny fingers and toes were so visible to us.I saw the hands that I will hold, legs that will walk with me when you come to this world... You have grown so much. You are about 4.39cm long now.

Dr Tan was trying to see if you are boy or girl. We saw something "protruding" but its still too early to confirm..

加油 BabyPok!! Daddy and Mummy are cheering and praying for you. 2 weeks time, I will be seeing you again.

BabyPok (10th Week)

Hello Baby, how have you been growing? Yesterday was your 10th week!! Daddy and Mummy have been waiting enthusiastically for your next scan. It will be scheduled on the 15th October and it seems so long before we can get to see you.

Mummy has been feeling "bloated" for many days but she still can eat quite a lot of food. I just cooked her macaroni soup last night. Did you manage to taste it?

Mummy don't allow me to tell you stories cause she doesn't like the 3 brothers story but it's my favorite! Your grand daddy used to tell me this story many times when I was a young boy. When you are born, I will share with you again!

Please grow well and I know God is protecting you!!

BabyPok 3rd Scan (8th Week)

Dear BabyPok,

You are at your 8th week, 2nd day as we visited Dr Tan again at the clinic.

Daddy and Mummy arrived at the clinic at about 930am and Mummy had her first external scan today. Dr Tan put some "jelly" liked gel on Mummy's stomach and we saw you again on the screen!!

Dr Tan praised you and said that you are a good (guai) baby. You are growing really fast; grown 4 times larger compared to your last scan. Your "swimming pool" also got bigger! You are about 1.74cm big now. We saw your head and also your heart beat. I thought I could see your limbs but doctor told us to wait a few more weeks before your limbs will be visible to us. Can't wait to see those limbs that will do many wonderful things for the Lord..

You are a good baby, Mummy is not having too much difficulty having you, most pregnant mummies will feel nausea or puke but Mummy only get a little bloated stomach but her appetite definitely increased! Keep it this way, let mummy enjoys the process of having you...

We are going to see you again in 3 weeks time. Hopefully by then, we can see you "waving" at us with your little hands!!

BabyPok 2nd Scan (6th Week)

Dear BabyPok,

Daddy can finally be around for the 2nd routine check up. On the 18th Sept, Saturday, We were all so anxious because we were told that maybe we will be able to see your little heart beating..

Daddy witnessed this life beating in Mummy's womb for the very first time. Your heart is beating at about 130+ beats per min. That's very fast. But Daddy's heart is beating that fast too. My heart was filled with tremendous joy and excitement that cannot be described..

Can you see yourself in the picture? That you!!! You are only about 37mm long. That's the size of a sesame seed. So small, but yet so precious to Daddy and Mummy.

In that scan, I saw the birth of life....I saw the creation of God... I saw the gift of God to us...
